One child was strapped onto my back as one crawled inside the playpen. I stayed up all night days, for months, sanding and removing wallpaper, while carrying one kid. Ha! Everything was starting to fall into place, however we were nowhere near done. The house would need a great deal of effort as well as a passion of shopping. To stay on budget I began going to estate sales with my three boys searching for diamonds in the rough. In the end, I accumulated more items that I could decide what to do with and had outgrown the space. The house became a venue that I hosted open houses where up to 1000 visitors could see items from my first floor and purchase these items. Growing Days was founded in my own home. Growing Days wasn't just an extremely successful company, it was as well my family. In a way, I was able to find the perfect balance between being a mum and launching my business. Growing Days fit perfectly. Nora my fourth child was born in 2013. My company was doing well but I was in need of a break. I decided to stop building my old furniture for a few months and stay home with the children. That was exactly what i wanted. After a few minutes I began to hear my phone ringing. People contacted me asking to assist them in interior decor and home renovations. These people had mostly attended my house during the open houses to purchase furniture. In the following months, I began to take on new clients according to my own pace. Then I was able to have many clients and I was running an enterprise of renovations to homes. If you had told me that my business would be the basis for a DIY Network show, I likely would have thought you were crazy. Even now, when I think about the circumstances, I find myself laughing.
