April Lockhart
April Lockhart is a born on July 4th, 1995. When she was in the 7th grade she began taking piano and guitar lessons. This ignited her passion for music writing. April Lockhart composed her first song"Different" when she was twelve years old. The singer spent much of her time at 14 making songs and practicing the piano. Soon, April began going to NY and LA with her Dad in order for them both write songs. April began to include other relevant topics into the"Take my Hand song for some acquaintances, including peer pressure disabilities and teen suicide. Lockhart has become a sought-after lifestyle influencer as well as having partnerships with clean beauty brands Ilia, has built an impressive fan base. As a woman born with no left hand, the woman has a significant part to play in her. However, it's not the entire tale. Lockhart's Instagram page doesn't overlook her handicap. But it also doesn't insist on it. It's a message. We are all more than our physical selves. The identities we have are complex and we contain many different elements. Lockhart stated in a video interview that she didn't want to be defined by her disability. She doesn't want to become an advocate for disabled people who only talks about disability. There are a variety of aspects to Lockhart. The issue doesn't affect my everyday activities. I carry on my business as usual and have found my own ways to adapt. It's a big aspect of my existence, so it is important to discuss the subject. Self-acceptance is a lifelong marathon however Lockhart truly inspires me for this aspect. Lockhart admits to having gone through phases where she felt insecure about dressing in certain styles that exposed her arms. She can wear whatever she wants, and she proudly shares photos of her wearing these clothes. She says that self-love is a journey. It's not clear whether you'll get to the end. This is a process, and I'm sure that you never reach your destination. I think it's vital to surround yourself people who are able to see and know your true heart.
